CGI – A Smart Marketing Choice

CGI: A Smart Marketing Choice

Computer-generated imagery (CGI) and live-action filming both have their strengths and limitations, and the choice between the two will depend on the specific needs and goals of a filmmaker and their project. However, there are several reasons why CGI may be considered better than live-action filming in certain situations:

  1. Control: With CGI, filmmakers have complete control over every aspect of the image, from lighting and shading to camera angles and movement. This allows for greater creative freedom and the ability to create images and effects that would be impossible or impractical to achieve in the real world.

  2. Cost-effectiveness: While some CGI marketing productions can be expensive, they can also be more cost-effective than live-action filming in certain situations. For example, creating virtual worlds and special effects through CGI can be less expensive than building physical sets and hiring large numbers of extras for live-action filming.

  3. Flexibility: CGI allows for unlimited changes and adjustments to the images and effects being created, without the need for additional filming or reshoots. This can save time and money compared to live-action filming, where changes often require costly and time-consuming reshoots.

  4. Safety: CGI can be used to create dangerous or impossible scenarios that would be unsafe to attempt in real life. This allows filmmakers to push the boundaries of what can be achieved in a visual production, without putting actors or crew members at risk.

While CGI may offer several advantages over live-action filming, it is important to note that both techniques have their own unique strengths and limitations. Ultimately, the choice between CGI marketing and live-action filming will depend on the specific needs and goals of a filmmaker and their project.
